{Flowers in Season}

I found this great little reference about "Flowers In Season" by www.ScarletPetal.com

Many of our brides come to us with the question, "What flowers are in season near my wedding date?" This is a great question, but exactly what is meant by “in season”? Generally, it means that florists are able to acquire these flowers more readily and at lower prices.

Today, very few flowers make themselves entirely unavailable for a portion of the year. The fact that we can import flowers from around the globe enables us to provide the bride and groom with just about anything at anytime. However, occassionally some in season flowers are only available during their time of year.

With that in mind, you are always safe in choosing flowers that are in season at the time of your special event. Please refer to our list below for names of seasonal flowers. Please keep in mind that because flowers are part of nature, florists often have to depend on nature’s cooperation. Instances such as brush fires in California or monsoons in Thailand will affect our resources.
